ACS Training Centres offer many courses for the professional Plumber who wishes to re-take or extend his range of competent person category holding in Natural Gas, ACS for CORGI Operatives, or liquid petroleum gas (LPG). This might be CCN1, CKR1, MET1, WAT1, HTR1, LAU1, CEN1 for domestic etc.

ACS for CORGI Operatives, within the Domestic, Commercial or Catering sectors, Oil, OFT certificates for OFTEC Technicians including OFT 101, OFT 102, OFT 105E, OFT 600A, Solid Fuel, HETAS certificates for HETAS Solid Fuel Engineers, Part L - Energy Efficiency for CORGI Operatives working with Central Heating, Part P - Electrical, Unvented Hot Water Systems, Water Regulation compliance etc. Renewables including Solar & Heat pumps are also available.

Company Profile

SBST(originally Gleeson Training Services) was established in 1997 in a response to a shortage of skills. Training was initially delivered to MJ Gleeson Group employees and their supply chain.The training division soon gained a reputation for delivering good quality courses and started to attract the attention of a number of external companies. As a result, the portfolio of courses has continued to increase to meet the demand from a satisfied client base, of which 80% are external companies and individuals.

In July 2005 Gleeson Training Services and Sheffield Building Services Training, the training division of Powerminster merged to form Specialist Building & Services Training (SBST). Today, over 100 courses are available, ranging from Plant, H&S, Construction, Gas, Plumbing, Electric & Personal Development . The training facility at Waleswood, Sheffield, includes external training areas with realistic site conditions for plant & roads & streetworks, while inside training areas offer a confined space system with different size tunnels and chambers with internal infa-red CCTV cameras, as a training and safety aid. Also an area to erect a mobile tower scaffold (PASMA) and a scaffold with built in faults for Scaffold inspection courses. Other courses offered include; work and assessment bays & training rooms to enable the delivery of Gas, Plumbing and Electrical training.
