The Guild is based on the premise that it is pointless to attempt to do anything as a professional organisation, unless you can demonstrate that you and your members are actually capable of doing the work to a certain standard.
The City & Guilds 7641 qualification is owned by The Guild Of Master Sweeps Ltd. The Guild is committed to raising the standards of chimney sweeping. To that end, membership will only be offered to competent sweeps. We reserve the right to decline candidates who do not meet our criteria, and membership requirements will be raised in line with the Guild’s Code of Practice.
